Brief Overview:
The project involved the creation of a public park at Burke Street, Fethard. The new park is situated on the eastern side of the medieval town wall of Fethard, in an Architectural Conservation Area.
Key Elements:

PSCS role for the duration of the works.

Demolition of the existing facades at Burke Street, removal of some block boundary walls to north of site and removal of existing Leylandii trees – to east of site

Grading of existing site under archaeologist supervision.

Masonry Repairs to the existing (non historic) wall at the east of the site and to the Historic Wall/Gable end buttress within proposed entrance plaza (Burke Street end of site)

Construction of new block boundary wall at east of site

Installation of drainage from the north to the south end of the site

Construction of a new RC path through the site.

Construction of new RC steps, walls, bench’s and raised planter beds

Laying of the new Limestone paving and strip paving throughout the site

Construction of new Boundary fencing, handrail and gates

Installation of proposed lighting and CCTV to town walls and Burke Street Plaza
