Brief Overview:

The N69 Ballygrenane to Main Street, Listowel Pavement Improvement scheme involved the rehabilitation and pavement improvement of approximately 1.8km of the N69 National Secondary Road. The scheme began in the 60 km/h zone on the southern approach to Listowel Town and ended within the 50km/h zone at the northern end of The Square in the town centre. 

Key Elements:

• Setting up of compound, welfare facilities
• Traffic Management in compliance with Chapter 8
• Supply and lay new surface water drainage pipes up to 450mm diameter, including associated access chambers and road gulleys.
• Pavement Overlay consisting of the Supply and lay of bituminous material on the carriageway, side roads and entrances.
• Pavement Inlay consisting of the excavation/cold milling of the existing roadway and subsequent reinstatement with a combination of unbound and bituminous material on the carriageway, side roads and entrances.
• Disposal of waste to a licensed facility
• Excavation of existing kerbs, footpaths and paved areas.
• Construction of new kerbs, footpaths, cycle track and paved areas.
• Repair of existing footpath defects
• Supply and lay new utility ducts for telecommunication and electricity supply networks
• Road Marking
